The Vibe in Culver City
Culver City has always been thought of as a sleepy town. That’s until just within the last 10 years. Culver City council pushed and accomplished a very respectable revitalization program. Downtown Culver City, as well as several shopping centers in the area have been gentrified or rebuilt. Around the same time, Sony’s motion picture operation moved to the former MGM studios. This brought much-needed jobs to Culver City.
As a result of a formidable movie studio in the heart of Culver City, it attracts residents with an interest in Cultural Arts.
The downtown area is now chock full of great restaurants, a Trader Joe’s, a multi-screen stadium-style movie theater, and great shops and art galleries.

Why live in Culver City
Culver City is an extremely diverse community where Gays and Lesbians integrate very easily. It’s an easy community to live in. Culver City is 5 miles to the beach, so you get the benefit of the ocean breezes and can enjoy pretty much ideal climate year round. Culver City is about a 20 minute drive to West Hollywood, 15 minute drive to Venice, and 20 minute drive to Santa Monica.
You won’t find mansions in Culver City. Most of the homes were built in the 1940’s-1960’s. Most of the architecture is California Bungalow and Traditional.
It is an incorporated community (like Santa Monica, Culver City, and Beverly Hills), so it has its own police department and school district.
